1. Information the App Accesses on Your Device

Activity and step data

The app requests access to your device's activity recognition / step counter sensor in order to read your step count and generate wallpaper progress and daily history.

This data is used to show your steps, progress, streaks, and wallpaper visualizations inside the app on your device. We do not send this data to our own servers.

App settings and usage data stored on your device

The app stores information locally on your device such as:

• daily step history
• recent step readings
• daily step goal
• wallpaper style, theme, and layout preferences
• watermark/pro unlock status
• app state such as permission prompts and sync timestamps

Purchase information

If you buy, subscribe to, or restore Pro features, including lifetime access or subscription plans, purchase processing is handled by Google Play Billing. We may also use RevenueCat to help manage purchase status, subscriptions, and entitlement restoration inside the app.

We may store the local unlock status needed to enable your purchased or subscribed features in the app on your device.

Advertising data

The app uses Google AdMob to load and display rewarded ads for optional feature unlocks.

Google and its partners may collect certain data such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app interactions, diagnostics, and ad performance information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Device/network information

The app may access basic network state to support billing, ads, and related service availability.

User-initiated feedback

If you contact us by email, we will receive any information you choose to include in your message.

Other than information you voluntarily send to us, we do not collect personal information directly from you on our own servers.

2. How the App Uses Local Information

The app uses locally accessed information to:

• provide step tracking and wallpaper generation features
• save your preferences and app settings
• enable and restore premium purchases and subscriptions

3. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send your step history or wallpaper preference data to our own servers.

The app may rely on third-party services that process information only as needed to operate app features, including:

• Google Play Billing for lifetime purchases, subscriptions, and purchase restoration
• RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management
• Google AdMob for rewarded advertising
• Google/Android system services where app data backup or restore is enabled on your device

Based on the current app implementation, your step history, wallpaper preferences, and most app state remain on your device and are not transmitted to our own servers.

4. Data Retention

Step history, app preferences, and local unlock state are kept on your device until you clear app data, uninstall the app, or remove them through device/app controls.

If Android backup is enabled on your device, some app data may be included in backup/restore processes managed by Google.

Data processed by Google Play Billing, including subscription and lifetime purchase records, or by AdMob is retained according to Google's own policies.

5. Your Choices and Controls

You can:

• deny or revoke Activity Recognition permission in your device settings
• disable notifications in device settings
• uninstall the app at any time
• clear app storage from your Android device settings
• manage ad preferences through Google settings where available

Please note that some features may not work properly without the required permissions.

6. Children's Privacy

Step Heatmap Wallpaper is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children on our own servers. If you believe a child has provided personal information to a third-party service through the app, please contact us so we can address the issue.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information used by the app. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
